“Northside Keeps It Clean” invites residents to register for their own recycling containers.
In an effort to fight litter / illegal dumpsites and increase recycling rates throughout Pittsburgh’s Northside neighborhoods, the PA Resources Council (PRC) and Allegheny CleanWays have partnered with the Buhl Foundation to launch the “Northside Keeps It Clean” campaign.
All CA-SGED residents interested in receiving a free 32-gallon recycling container must register in advance to attend one at the upcoming event:
* Sat, Apr23, 6–9 p.m. at Wigle Whiskey Barrel House in Spring Garden
To register and to learn more about this initiative and other projects in the Northside, visit www.prc.org/one-clean-northside or call Mary Kate Ranii at 412-488-7490 ext. 105.
THE PENNSYLVANIA RESOURCES COUNCIL, established in 1939, is the Commonwealth's oldest grassroots non-profit environmental organization. PRC is recognized as a state and national leader in waste reduction and recycling. www.prc.org
ALLEGHENY CLEANWAYS works to engage and empower residents of Allegheny County to eliminate illegal dumping.
“By providing households with recycling containers we know that we increase the number of people recycling and decrease contamination in the recyclable materials. The bin holds more recyclables, serves as a reminder every collection day and includes clear guidelines explaining what is recyclable.”
